Mr. Biege practices in the areas of business, real estate, elder law, and family law. 

Douglas L. Biege was born in LaPorte, Indiana.  He attended LaPorte high School and joined the Marine Corps, 1^st Battalion 9^th Marines. 

Education: While a Sergeant in the infantry, he earned an Associates Degree and Bachelors Degree, Magna Cum Laude from National University.  He earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree from Indiana University in 1996. 

Legal Memberships: LaPorte County Bar Association and the Indiana State Bar Association.  He has successfully litigated jury trials, bench trials, and cases before the Court of Appeals for the State of Indiana in the areas of business, real estate, and family law.  Mr. Biege is admitted to practice in the State of Indiana, before the Indiana Supreme Court, the Federal Court Northern District and Southern District of Indiana, as well as the 7^th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Public Service: Former President of the Business Improvement District for the City of LaPorte.  Mr. Biege is the Vice-Chairman of the Board for the South Coast Conservancy District.  Mr. Biege has been member of the Board of Directors for the LaPorte Jaycees, Habitat for Humanity, the Intermodal Task Force. Mr. Biege is also a volunteer attorney for the Northern Indiana Pro Bono Commission.
